Belle Isle Makes It Official, Running for SOS

In an early morning email, former Alpharetta Mayor David Belle Isle announced he is running for Secretary of State. You will recall he ran for the same office in 2018, losing to Brad Raffensperger in a runoff.

As Jason posted, 10th district Congressman Jody Hice also announced a run for SOS today.

  1. It’s disappointing to see someone as smart and capable as Belle Isle spin his wheels in another run for SoS. In my view, the incumbent, who I did not vote for – I supported Buzz and then Belle Isle (that’s how recent ago I was still a Republican), has done a good job. He stood up to a bully and protected the voters will of the people of Georgia.

    I imagine it becomes ever clear that it’s now important who Democrats put up for the office because if a Trumper is the Republican nominee, the advantage will lie with the Democratic nominee.
