Abrams Is Running for Governor, All Eyes on Perdue, McCormick Runs in GA-06, and Much More

It’s just Buzz and Jason this week, but we still have a lot of political news to discuss. The biggest news is that Stacey Abrams has announced that she’s running for governor, almost certainly clearing the Democratic field. Obviously, that makes us wonder what David Perdue is going to do? We also talk about an old video of Herschel Walker that has surfaced, in which he gives the impression that he doesn’t know that the Constitution has been amended since its initial ratification. We didn’t realize this before we began talking about the video, although we do acknowledge it toward the end of the segment, but it does seem to be at least 18 months old, filmed long before Walker ever announced his candidacy.

We also discuss Rich McCormick’s announcement that he’ll run in GA-06, joining an already crowded field of Republicans. McCormick, though, does have some notable members of Congress supporting his candidacy. We also note the recent complaints of Reps. Andrew Clyde and Marjorie Taylor Greene, who don’t like their new districts and insist that moderates are after them, and Greene’s recent dust-up with Rep. Nancy Mace. Finally, we talk a little about the Atlanta Braves and wonder why Freddie Freeman hasn’t been re-signed.
