David Perdue Exploring Run Against Raphael Warnock

Former Sen. David Perdue filed a statement of candidacy today with the Federal Election Commission for the U.S. Senate currently held by Raphael Warnock. Perdue lost the January 5 runoff to Jon Ossoff by nearly 55,000 votes. Warnock, however, defeated Kelly Loeffler by more than 93,000 votes.

The Cook Political Report has the seat as “Lean D,” but it’s ridiculously early.
