Absentee Voter ID Bill Passes the State Senate
The state Senate passed SB 67 this afternoon by a vote of 35 to 18. The roll call vote isn’t available right now, but the Georgia Senate Democratic Caucus tweeted, “VoterSuppression passes along party lines in the #GASenate.”
SB 67, which now heads to the House, would require a voter to provide a copy of their driver’s license or other form of state-approved identification when requesting an absentee ballot.
