Amber Thurman didn’t “later die”
Amber Thurman laid in a hospital bed surrounded by medical personnel who refused to help her because they were afraid of being convicted of a felony. The GOP and their christian allies have made it plain that they give not a single fuck about human life. They care about punishing women and controlling their bodies.
This is categorically false.
She died because she took an abortion drug without proper medical supervision. The law clearly states that there is an exception for the health of the mother. If she was neglected by those charged with her care it would make sense for them to try to blame the law to avoid accountability for their screw up. But there is zero excuse to blame the law for this when the law is clear.
Further, the media’s depiction of the law and this very case could be detrimental in countless ways. It is the heigh of irresponsibility to make this claim. Take that garbage somewhere else cause we ain’t buying it here.
“County election boards urge the State Election Board to pause rulemaking”
Day after:
“Georgia election board orders hand count of votes in US presidential contest”
Facepalm.
