Somebody Is Polling Republicans.
Much to the consternation of some in MAGA and the Georgia GOP, Scot and I are still Republicans. We were both polled this week about potential Republican 2026 candidates for Governor and U.S. Senate. I grabbed two screenshots of the poll’s list of candidates for those two offices. Of note is that Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger appears on both lists of candidates. That doesn’t mean the poll comes from his camp, as his name has been linked to both offices. Also of note is that Brian Kemp’s name is not among those potentially running for U.S. Senate.
It’s possible the poll didn’t originate from one of the listed candidates. The media might be interested in a “way too early” look at the 2026 GOP field. Perhaps the poll comes from a political consultant looking for business. At any rate, since we have lists of candidates put together by somebody, what do y’all think? Who would you support at this early juncture?
