Governor MTG, Or Senator MTG? Your Choice Georgia.
On the most recent “Politically Georgia” podcast, 14th District Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene floated her name out for not one, but two high-profile 2026 offices.
U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene could have dodged the question near the end of her segment at the live taping of the “Politically Georgia” podcast in Washington on Thursday. But instead, she leaned in when asked whether she plans to challenge Democratic U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff next year.
“Of course I’m considering all possibilities. No decisions have been made, but I would be telling a lie if I didn’t say I wasn’t considering it,” she said, adding that a race for governor also wasn’t off the table.
I mentioned a recent poll I participated in, conducted by parties unknown, asking about possible 2026 GOP candidates for U.S. Senate and Governor. Greene’s name was listed among the potential candidates for Senate, but not Governor. Will she lean toward that race? In my opinion, no. The offices of Governor and Senator are very different.
One final note, should MTG make a run for something else in 2026, there is someone waiting in the wings to take her place. He of the flop and mugshot.
Have mercy, Lord.
Considering the GA Republicans last ran Herschel “Werewolf” Walker for senate, Empty Gee might be a unique step in political evolution. If nothing else, they could have a joint press conference to see who can do more pull ups.
