
Kelvin King Tosses Hat Into SOS Ring.
Kelvin King, former GOP candidate for Senate and husband to Board of Elections member Janelle King, is running for Secretary of State.
King announced his candidacy with an op-ed in the pages of James Online:
I’m a proud Air Force veteran, a businessman, and a native Georgian. I’ve spent my life serving this country through service and leadership, from working as an Air Force Contracting Officer to building a successful construction company that serves the public sector. As the third most powerful seat in our state government, calls for transparency are too often met with resistance. In conversations with county election officials, they feel caught between political pressure and their duty to serve; grassroots activists feel sidelined, and those working tirelessly to ensure accuracy are dismissed or ignored.

I like Kelvin King a lot and thought he would have made a better nominee for US Senate than Walker.
But I spy with my little eye a potential conflict of interest. It is more obvious if he is elected than just being a candidate. But still…
