It’s Not What You Oppose, It’s How You Oppose
Georgia’s QAnon Congresswoman, Marjorie Taylor Greene, is in the news again, which, one can suppose, is what she wants. Sure, there’s a cultural debate raging on these sorts of things, but this sort of behavior is ridiculous. Politico reports:
Just a few weeks after she was stripped of her committee assignments by her colleagues in the House for her lengthy record of bigoted comments and confrontational tactics, the freshman Republican lawmaker from northwest Georgia has reinjected herself into the lowlight limelight. In the wake of debate about the Equality Act, Democratic Rep. Marie Newman of Illinois, who has a transgender daughter, put up a flag expressing transgender pride outside her office. Greene responded by putting an affront of a sign on her wall across the hall from Newman. “There are TWO genders,” it said. “MALE & FEMALE.” Peers from both parties were appalled. And the fray that played out on Twitter quickly and obviously went viral.
Oh, and her communications director replied to a reporter inquiry about this by telling the reporter, “You are a scumbag.” A serious Member of Congress who saw a comment like this from a staffer would fire that staffer on the spot. Alas, Greene isn’t serious; she’s a grifter.
Greene may have made herself feel better today because she thinks she totally owned the libs, but she never will realize how much she hurts the causes in which she claims to believe every time she says or does something dumb.
I totally agree Jason. She was elected to do the job of a member of Congress. Fan service to the Twitterati isn’t in the job description.
At least she has found a niche…and I wonder what the ‘consecutive days’ record is for forcing a roll call vote on a motion to adjourn?
Marjorie Taylor Greene’s comments never further a reasoned discussion on the issues important to voters. They serve only to insult those of us who value decency and a fundamental respect for other people.

Seems both ladies are playing childish games but MTG gets all the coverage. These 2 represent well all the puerile activities taking place in our government. Name calling, BS impeachments and PeeWee Herman ‘I know I am, but what are you’ hypocrisy filled charges. Might as well fill the capitol with sand, give the kids in congress some toys and let ’em go at it flags, signs and all.
