All Hail the War Machine, Including MTG
When Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene isn’t speaking pandering to literal racists, Greene apparently dabbles in the stock market. Look, trading in stocks isn’t wrong, but being a member of Congress and buying stocks has become very controversial (ask David Perdue!), so much so that there’s discussion of prohibiting members from trading.
Interestingly enough, Congress Trading tweeted yesterday that Greene purchased between $1,001 and $15,000 in stocks from Lockheed Martin on February 22. Of course, Lockheed Martin, which is known for arms manufacturing, employs some 4,500 people in Georgia. However, the Maryland-based company was, by far, the largest federal contractor in FY 2020. Greene made the purchase two days before Russia, illegally and without provocation, invaded Ukraine.
