When it comes to Catoosa…I’ve just lost count

There is an old saying that the definition of insanity is trying the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. The Catoosa County Republican Party, in its continuing effort to be the proxy to advance the bizarre legal theories of the Georgia Republican Assembly and their leader, Alex Johnson, Esq., has once again, and to no one surprise, lost in court.

Today, Senior Superior Court Judge David K. Smith granted the Catoosa County Board of Elections’ Motion to Dismiss.

One interesting item in the Order to Dismiss the case was found on page 2, “The Court denied counsel for Petitioners’ request to use an audio recorder after attorney Katherine <sic> Bernard volunteered that she had been recording the proceedings. The Court reminded counsel that they had advance notice to request a court reporter.”

The Motion to Dismiss was granted on mostly technical reasons, mainly that it was filed after the statutory ten day deadline.
