  1. The lawsuit Mr Hilton refers to, Texas v Becerra, is asking that section 504 be rules unconstitutional, which would indeed cause it to no longer exist.

In addition, the funding for special needs students is provided through the Department of Education and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, which is wholly separate from Section 504.

So his assertion that adding trans kids or children with gender dysphoria to section 504 to give them protection from discrimination would somehow take resources away from special needs kids is a bold-faced lie.

I do have a hard time trying to understand why so many conservatives, especially ones who label themselves as a “Servant for Christ” have such a fucking hard-on against trans people. Apparently attacking the marginalized makes them feel stronger? I better not call him out on that, though. Those upper middle class chair warming desk jockey white boys like to cry about how badly they are “persecuted” for their beliefs. Of course, what’s actually happening is that they’re being held accountable for not following Jesus’ teachings.

I’ll leave him with a little bible lesson. Matthew 25:40 “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters, you did for me”. Remember, Mr. Hilton, that at the end of the day it doesn’t matter to your god hoe often you went to church, how much you put in the offering plate, how much of a so-called patriot you were, or how much you proclaim to be his follower. What matters is what you did to help those with less power than you. And punching down is a bad look.
