So ******** what?
Probably the question that most readers would ask when Scot made the announcement yesterday, and a fair question at that. I have typed out a couple of long posts about why Scot and I thought it would be good. It’s probably best just to provide the bullet points:
- I don’t have much of a dog in the fight anymore. During…and because…of the last cycle I made a decision that I probably shouldn’t be working in politics much anymore. It just isn’t the best for the season of life I’m in right now. So, I figured why the hell not?
- Scot wanted “The Grifter” to start writing again, but I just didn’t have it in me to remain anonymous. With transparency, I am a bit of an attention whore. I like people liking me, and I care that people find some enjoyment in what I write. So, if I wanted to be appreciated for what I write by more people than Scot, I had to put my name to things.
- Peach Pundit has a very dedicated audience at the dome. I do have a deep desire to see Georgia become a bastion of the new AI economy. Georgia could rejuvenate rural areas and further diversify the economy by leaning into being a center of AI innovation. If I can provide some of that knowledgebase, I’d be happy to.
So, back to the question: So ********* what? Well, that’s up to you. I hope the posts are still as valuable as they were when I was “The Grifter.”
