The “Real” Campaign Season Is About To Begin.

Insider Advantage released a new poll of the Senate and the Governor’s race.

It’s the first poll of the Senate race in a month, and it matches the RCP polling average.

Ossoff created a viral moment that warmed the hearts of Democrats while angering the President and his supporters. There’s no doubt it was meant to enhance his national profile among Democrats, prove that “he fights,” and gear up for an almost certain 2028 Presidential campaign. I wonder what friction will emerge between the Ossoff Camp and the Warnock Camp as they both quietly push their 2028 national ambitions.

As readers know, I’m certainly not “MAGA,” but I think it was bad form for a sitting Senator to casually toss out the name of a little-known Presidential staffer while implying there’s an improper relationship between her and the President. Sure, I’m getting ratioed on Twitter, but I said what I said.

Meanwhile, the IA poll was the first poll of the Governor’s race in a couple of weeks, and in line with other polls indicating the race is tied.

It’s no surprise that there has been little movement in the polls in recent months. But now the summer break is over; kids are back in school, and Labor Day is swiftly approaching. The “real” campaign season is about to begin. It’s going to be a wild ride.
